Varietal75% Grenache noir, 15% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre and Cinsault

Tasting Notes
Color– clear ruby  with purple hints
Nose– it has aromas of fruits such as plum, cherry and vanilla and spice undertones
Mouth – Bouquet of liquorice, pepper fennel, aromas dominates. A fruity and fleshy wine with velvety smooth tannins.  The palate is rich, well balanced. Ends with a lingering finish.

Food Pairing: Chicken will be the perfect companion, red meat with plums or a hare with mushrooms, lamb, coq au vin

Gigondas

Wine MakingTraditional. Total de-stemming. Cold maceration before fermentation. Alcoholic fermentation from 15 to 20 days with progressive increase of the temperature in order to preserve the «fruity» aromas. Unballasting, manual punching of the cap.
Maturation without oak. In vat to preserve the roundness and fruity aromas of the wine.

History of the Vignobles du Soleil
Started in 1926 with the construction of the cellar of Canet. In 1935 began the cooperative cellar of Saleilles is created from the cellar of an individual. It will be modernized in 1938. Unfortunately in 1944, the cellar of Canet is destroyed by the Germans but rebuild in 1947. It recieved its first harvest in 1948. After some name changes the company became known as Vignobles du Soleil in 1988.

The winery gathers more than 90 winegrowers, for a surface of 250 hectares. The average production is 11000 hectoliters.
