Jurançon
Wine Making: The production is limited to 40 hectolitres for Jurançon and 70 hectolitres for dry Jurançon per hectare, this supports the quality of the grape.
The vine is cut with guyot double, it is led into haughty (its foliage can reach 2,30 m « 6 feet » in height).
About Winery: Former hunting appointment of Henri IV, visited by the Empress Eugenie, the vineyard is cultivated at the Château de Rousse since the 15th century. The estate, family owned for 5 generations, is located in Jurançon (historic heart of the appellation) at an altitude of 330 m facing the Pyrenees, at the top of a hill with steep slopes. The vineyard planted on the terrace enjoys a privileged sunshine.
