Varietal: Syrah 90%, Grenache 10%

Tasting Notes
Color: A bright dark wine shot through with highlights.
Nose: The noticeable red fruit in the nose is accompanied by aromas of cinnamon and spice.

Mouth: Full of jammy red fruit (strawberry), rounded and well-balanced and finishes on notes of spice (vanilla, pepper). The youthful tannins mean it will last quite a while.

Food Pairing: Enjoy with meat casseroles and ripe cheeses.
Serve at around 18°C.

Costières de Nîmes

Wine Making: The grapes are harvested when perfectly ripe then destemmed. Maceration lasts 18-20 days with perfect temperature control and careful extraction of the aromatic and polyphenolic elements (pumping-over and delestage). Raised in barrel 12 months

Terroir: The owner named this estate of 67ha after his son. 35ha are planted with AOP Vines. It is on the edge of the acient town of Nîmes. Terra Vitis certified. The soils are highly typical of the appellation with large smooth stones from alluvial deposits from the Rhone and Durance rivers on a clay limestone subsoil.
