Color: Prestige is a deep red color with violet hints.
Nose: Toasted and defined by red fruit that we also find in the mouth
Mouth: A final taste of well-balanced tannins. The overall impression is of strength with a very long and fruity finish.
Food Pairing: It will accompany all poultry and grilled red meats.
It will keep, bottles stocked lying down, for around 10 years.

“Le Prestige” 2014
Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux
Wine Making: Prestige comes from a plot of 4 hectares situated on the top of the hill and producing low yields (40 hl/ha). After macerations of about 30 days at 25 ° under micro oxygenation, the wine is then aged for 12 months in 4, 5 and 6 year old barrels. The wine is then put back into a vat for six months to finish it’s ageing before being bottled by the winery.
About the Winery
The Château de Chainchon (24 hectares) belongs to the same family since 1846.
Sitting on the hillside surrounded by it’s 24 hectares of vines, this beautiful XVIIIe century house overlooks the valley of the river Dordogne in the south of the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. The soils are sandy clay at the bottom of the hills and clay-limestone on the slopes and hill tops. This variety of soils enables them to make wines which are supple and fruity to drink young and also wines which are powerful
and tannic for keeping.
